Background of the issue:
I am working on a site, hidden link, where English is set as the default language. It serves as the base language for a custom language of British English. I duplicated the English pages to initiate the British English pages. Automatic AI translations were used for other languages like Spanish.
Symptoms:
From the admin page list, when using the 'Edit the British English Translation' option, the translated content list (in the WPML translation window) shows numerous image elements marked as 'HTML attribute' that don't appear in the translation window for other languages. The British page is not currently synched to the original English page.
Questions:
Why does the British English translation show unique elements compared to other languages? Is there anything that can or should be done to correct this?

If I am correct you did some manual change on the custom language correct?
If so you can not mix and match the manual mode and the Advanced Translation Editor.
You either need to use the Advanced Translation editor by doing as follows:
- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.
Previously I misremembered the origins of the current British content. I did make manual content edits to the content using Beaver Builder so that the inline page links and buttons especially linked to the correct en-gb/ pages. Occasionally some word spellings were also altered.
Since I've gone this route already, is editing using Beaver Builder the only option possible going forward? Alternatively, clicking on the gear icon for British in the page list, if I were to try to use the "Copy the original text to the translation area" would that break something?
