The problem is in a site of a network where I'f like to change defalt language, from "it" to "en" int ìo my case.
When I do this, I cannot translate any content, and the error, logged into backend is:

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

According to the debug log, I don't see the active languages on your site. Please try to setup Italian as the default language and English as the second one and see if it works.
