Background of the issue:
I am developing a site that is currently in three languages: English (EN), Estonian (ET), and Polish (PL). I have created a translator who is supposed to translate from English and Estonian to Polish.
Symptoms:
The translator can still translate to Estonian under Taxonomy, media, and string translations, which is not intended.
Questions:
Why can the translator still translate to Estonian under Taxonomy, media, and string translations?
Since there was no response from you, I have converted this chat into a ticket.
I'll further investigate the issue with translators that can translate media into other languages in WPML -> Media translation. I'll keep you updated on any news regarding this issue.
I was able to replicate this issue on a fresh WordPress installation with only WPML, Strings Translation, and Media translation installed. In this case, I can see the problem when I'm logged in with the translator user. In WPML -> Media translation, translators can also translate and replace images for language pairs not assigned to them. This is what I escalated to our second-tier supporters. If you would like us to also investigate the problem with the plugin, such as WP User Manager or a similar official, compatible plugin, please use the following test site.

With this link, you'll be directly logged in.
Install the third-party plugin and see if the issue is replicable on a clean WordPress installation. If it is replicable, please describe the steps you took to reproduce the problem. It would be great if you could also share a video. You can use the free online screencast service Komodo - hidden link. Important! Do not import your site to the test site. We must replicate the problem on a fresh, clean WordPress installation.
I'll keep you updated on news regarding the escalated ticket.
