Problem:
You are trying to set up WPML on your site and after downloading, installing, and activating the plugin, it does not appear in the WordPress interface or the installed plugins menu.

Hello Michał,

You mentioned that you have already added the activation code, so you should have the OTGS Installer plugin installed now.

To install the WPML Multilingual CMS and String Translation plugins, go to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial tab. On this page, you can choose the plugins you want to install. I have attached a screenshot for your reference.

Alternatively, you can check and download the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on this site. Instructions for updating can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/.

Please note that the OTGS Installer plugin is no longer needed once you have installed the plugins.

sorry, I just have a question in the WPML program configuration there is a choice - Who will translate?
doesn't the program translate our page itself?
what does it look like?
should we translate everything ourselves first?

WPML can automatically translate your entire site. You can watch a video on the following page and find more information here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/.

Alternatively, you can choose the other option and decide later which pages to translate and how you want them translated. Here are some articles for your reference:
