Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a WooCommerce product from Slovak to English. Initially, the translation was successful, but after making some changes to the product, the translation, although marked as 100% complete, does not apply. The translation list still shows it as in progress. Changes are not reflected on the front end. The issue can be seen at: hidden link

Symptoms:
The translation is marked as 100% complete but does not apply. The translation list shows it as in progress, and changes are not reflected on the front end.

Questions:
Why is the translation not applying even though it is marked as 100% complete?
Why does the translation list show the translation as in progress?

Hi,

I see that only the button text (vložiť do košíka) is not translated.
Can you please confirm that this is the missing translation?
I want to check the problem with the translation job that is stuck in progress.
Can you please share the access details to your site with me?

Hi,

We have found the following error in WPML -> Support -> hidden link">Advanced Translation Editor Error Logs:

Class "Mfn_Builder_Fields" not found /data/9/5/95e36102-a4ba-4395-af01-f3fecb119db2/emerald-grid.com/web/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions/builder/class-mfn-builder-admin.php:77

Our second-tier supporter has the following doubt:

You should start by checking what is in that file and where the required class is.

The assumption is that something is missing in the theme's files. This can happen when something goes wrong during the theme's installation. Or it could be a bug in the theme.

If the theme has a newer version, please update it and see if the problem persists.
If there is no new version, please reinstall the latest version and check if the problem persists. Reinstalling the theme may include the missing class.

Can you please try this and tell me the result?

**** Important! Please make a full site backup (files and DB) before you proceed with those steps****

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi Itamar,

I reinstalled the Betheme, doublechecked those 2 mentioned php files (class-mfn-builder-admin, class-mfn-builder-fields.php) they are there, correct size. No change in product translation behavior.

However I noticed strange behavior (before and also after Betheme re-installation): If you create any product, fresh from scratch. You can translated it and it works just fine. After, when you do any change to original language product, the translation will stuck in that state "in progress". I tried it more times with same result.

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy.

Thanks for trying my suggestions.

I wonder if we are facing a new issue with the Betheme that has not been reported yet.
We need to replicate this issue on a fresh WordPress installation. Then I'll be able to escalate it to our compatibility team. For this, I created a test website with a clean WordPress install. You can access it through this link:

With this link, you'll be directly logged in.

Could you please install the Betheme theme and see if the issue is replicable on a clean WordPress installation?

As on your site, I already configured WPML to have Slovak as the default language and English as the second language.

Please also ensure you install the latest version of the theme.

Please let us know when everything is finished and you can replicate the problem.

Important! Do not import your site to the test site. We must replicate the problem on a fresh, clean WordPress installation.
Thanks,
Itamar.

Done.
- I installed the fresh BeTheme (I deregistered one of my older sites, to be able to ad licence to sandbox. So please keep it mind. Thanks)
- I loaded one of Bethemes Pre-built sites (to have complete setup, similar to I used on emerald-grid.com, I also used this one as I start)
- installed woocommerce (the one, bundled with theme) + basic setup
- activated yoast duplicate plugin (also bundled with theme)
- activated WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency
- created virtual and downloadable prodcut
- did the first translation, (successfully completed)
- did some changes to texts inside the product + added product image + changed the name of product
- started the translation again (directly from product back end)
... and translation is stuck "in progress" as on my site

I hope it will help

Regards

Andy

Hi,

Our compatibility team has identified the source of this problem in Betheme's files. We have published an errata on how to fix it. Please refer to the errata here and follow the instructions to resolve this issue.

https://wpml.org/errata/betheme-product-translations-fail-to-complete-when-updated-via-muffin-builder-and-ate/

**** Important! Please make a full site backup (files and DB) before you proceed with those steps****

We contacted the authors of Betheme and reported the problem to them. It is their responsibility to correct this problem in the Betheme's file. We will update you here as soon as we have news about this issue.

Please note that if you apply the workaround and the Betheme authors release an update to the theme that does not yet include the fix, you will need to reinsert the fix.

Regards,
Itamar.
