Background of the issue:
I am trying to update pre-translated pages by translating new content that has been added to them. I checked the new 'leave existing translations as they are' box and requested the pages be published without review. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
Instead of using circa 450 credits, nearly 15,000 credits were used. See credit report: hidden link
The translation status still shows in progress/needs review, and if I try to edit the English language page, I get an alert saying the page is being translated. Additionally, whenever I try to 'complete' a page manually, it still shows as 'needing reviewing' with the 'eye' icon.

Questions:
Why were nearly 15,000 credits used instead of circa 450?
Why does the translation status still show in progress/needs review?
Why do I get an alert saying the page is being translated when I try to edit the English language page?
Why do pages still show as 'needing reviewing' with the 'eye' icon when I try to 'complete' it manually?

Hi,

I just checked the link I shared for the login page, and it seems to work; please can you try it again and let me know exactly what you see.

I also tried using the login credentials I set up for you and I can confirm they also work.

Please can you try logging in again.

Thanks

Hey there,

So, this time the wp-admin page loaded as expected. Nonetheless, with the information you provided, I get the following message:

"LOGIN BLOCKED: 2FA is required to be active on your account. Please contact the site administrator."

Can you please check?

I am sorry for the delay in coming back. I have activated a 99 day grace period on the 2FA so you should not be asked to set it up. Let me know if you can access the account.

Have you had an update from the accounts team, as I note you referred part of the query to them on 13th Feb.

As my colleague Lucas is currently on vacation I will be glad to assist you with your request.

Kindly note that translations will always be expected to be updated once the original content changes. Any affected segment will be emptied on the WPML Translation Editor and translations will need to get updated.

According to the second-tier support who revised the translation jobs on your site was noticed that a lot of new words were added to the original content.

According to what we understood on this ticket, neither you are any other user changed the original content.

Please answer the following questions:

1) How did this unexpected content show up? When did the issue occur and how?

2) What exactly is or was the previously translated content? Please provide an exact example.

3) We're talking about content added in the default languages, correct? (Original content)

4) Can you currently recreate the issue on your site?
