This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have encountered a bug in the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual addon plugin where fields with the translation preference 'copy once' on option pages are unable to save or keep empty/falsey values. This issue arises due to a flaw in the implementation of the 'copy once' logic.
Solution:
We have escalated this issue to our second-tier support team, and it has been addressed. The bug fix will be included in the upcoming release of ACFML v2.2. We recommend that you update the plugin as soon as the new version is available on the Downloads page.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

I have found a bug in Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual addon plugin.
Specifically: on option pages, the fields with translation preference copy once are not able to save/keep empty/falsey values.
I have opened a ticket here and you can find a detailed bug report AND a solution proposal there: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/acfml-bug-report-copy-once-fields-on-options-pages-admin-reload-issues-with-falsy-empty-valu/#post-17745347
This is a major lapse in how "copy once" logic is implemented and is especially frustrating, because that setting is apparently the only "valid" way to make fields on option pages translatable.

Supporter Andreas W. has refused to study the report and kept "supporting" me on unrelated issues, then rudely closed the ticket (I cannot even see it my past tickets).

My main goal with this ticket is to offer a solution to a legitimate bug in the logic of the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual addon.
How do I contact technical support? I am not interested in non technical admin chat especially not with someone, who is not able to listen.
