This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with WPML not recognizing some texts from Elementor theme plugins on a single-page website. Despite manually translating the page to Portuguese, changes on the website cause WPML to update the page and revert the translations.
Solution:
We recommend using the WordPress editor for manual translation to avoid issues with WPML updates reverting your manual changes. You can learn more about how to set up and use manual translation by following this guide: Using Different Translation Editors for Different Pages.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We highly recommend opening a new support ticket if the problem persists.

Background of the issue:
This is a simple website with just one page. I need it to have English and Portuguese. The WPML editor only detects some texts of the page. There are Elementor theme plugins that WPML is not recognizing, and I can't seem to find what packages I should activate for that to work. Since this is only one page that I need to translate, I don't think it's a problem to just edit the translated page manually. (if you check the website, you will see in the PT translated page that all the titles, subtitles and the first section carousel are all in the original EN language, even after I manually translated to Portuguese...

Symptoms:
After manually editing the translated page, simple changes on the website seem to make WPML update the page again, causing all the text boxes that I translated inside Elementor editor to "restore".

Questions:
How can I stop WPML from updating the translated page and deleting my manual translations?
What packages should I activate for WPML to recognize all texts in Elementor theme plugins?

Hello Osama!

I did that. Still. If somehow I update the original page, the "duplicated" one for the 2nd language restores and I need to go there again to translate things one by one again in elementor...

Hi,

Please make sure that you edit the duplicated page/post and click the "Translate independently" button.

After that, the changes in the default language shouldn't affect the translated language.

Best regards,
Osama
