Background of the issue:
I am trying to cancel or delete jobs that are in progress on my site hidden link using WPML. However, there is no 'trashcan' icon next to them in the jobs dashboard.

Symptoms:
When I select the jobs and click bulk actions to cancel jobs, I get an error that says: 'This action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs'.

Questions:
How can I cancel or delete translation jobs that are in progress?
Why is there no 'trashcan' icon next to the jobs in the jobs dashboard?
What does the error message 'This action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs' mean?

Hi there,

Please note that completed jobs can not be canceled. You can only cancel the jobs in progress, see the followings for details:

- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/#how-to-cancel-translation-jobs

- To cancel all in-progress automatic jobs at once, you can do this from

WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting and scroll to almost the end of the "Clean up" section.

Be careful while using any of the options on the troubleshooting page.

Hi Bobby,

I am trying to cancel in progress jobs, not completed jobs. The option to do so isn't there for most of the jobs. See attached image.

First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.

Please go to WPML-> Support-> Troubleshooting and click the "Cancel in progress translations" button. Please let me know if that fixes the issue.

Hi Osama,

Apologies for my late reply, I've been off work the last few days. Unfortunately this did not solve the issue. I will note that only the option to "Cancel in progress automatic jobs" was available, which I selected, but the in progress jobs are still in the dashboard.

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
