Hello There, If you've set the Estonian language to be hidden, the links to Estonian pages will remain active on your site. However, attempting to access these pages should result in a 404 error, as they are not publicly available. The 500 error you are encountering in this scenario is unusual and may be happening due to some other reason. Would you kindly check by running a plugin conflict test on your site? Please Take a full backup of the entire website to ensure data safety. - Except for WPML and its add-ons, please disable other plugins and check if you're still seeing the error. In this way, you'll be able to pinpoint what actually causing the issue. But, if the issue persists even after that, kindly enable the debug log on your site and check if any errors are getting recorded due to this issue. If you can paste your debug.log to pastebin.com and provide me with that link it would be great! (This is the cleanest way because sometimes the logs are long and create a complete mess in discussion). Documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/ Looking forward to your response. Best Regards, |

First of all I'd like to clarify that not the Estonian pages are showing 500 server error but it's Latvian pages that are showing error. I'm not sure what happened, I deactivated all the plugins except WPML. Checked the site, refreshed a couple of times, error still there. Turned all the plugins on again, went to get the debug info. The debug log file for some reason is not generating. But.. the server 500 error dissappeared.... So I don't know what fixed it. Some cache problem maybe? |

I also have another question. Since I won't be using the Estonian language at all anymore on that site, only Latvian. And I need the product texts to be changable from the wordpress editor, what should I do? How can I have all of the products stay in the state that they are now, but so that future edits can be done from the WP editor? |

Hello There, Glad to hear that the 500 error is no longer appearing on the site. Sometimes caching can lead to such transient problems. If you're using any caching or server-level cache is enabled, make sure to periodically clear them to avoid such issues. If you have translated the Estonian product to the Latvian language, you won't be able to manually edit the Latvian product from WordPress Editor as it can lead to unwanted issues in the database. Since you intend to keep the Estonian language disabled, the only solution I can suggest for editing the products in the Latvian language is to disconnect the translation from its original language. In order to understand the overall process, kindly check the documentation below. - https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/ In this way, the product will be counted as an independent post and you'll be able to modify that product as per your needs. Let me know if that helps or if you need any further assistance. I will be happy to help. Best Regards, |
