Background of the issue:
I had been developing a site locally at ssg.ddev.site. Now the site is at a staging address of staging.ssg.coop. WPML wants to update the URL, but it fails. The staging site has htaccess authentication enabled.

Symptoms:
Error with moving translation information to new URL.

Questions:
Why does WPML fail to update the URL when moving from a local site to a staging site?
Is htaccess authentication affecting the URL update process in WPML?

Thanks for contacting us.

I've checked our records and I need a few information on your end. Please navigate to your accounts here https://wpml.org/account/sites/ and generate a new sitekey for this site. Then, in your Website, navigate to WP > Plugins > Add New > Commercial Tab and replace the sitekey over there.

Then, navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting link and send me the Advanced Translation ID.

THank you for sending these instructions. I have regenerated a new sitekey for staging.ssg.coop. However, on the Commercial tab of the plugins page, I see nowhere to put the new key. See attached screenshot. The highlighted link about updating key just comes back here to wpml.org
