Problem: The client is using ACF to store employee information and has pages in both primary and secondary languages. However, in the secondary language, the URL components are not translated and are shown in the primary language. Solution: We recommend the following steps to translate URL components using the WPML plugin: 1. Ensure that the ACF Multilingual plugin is active. 2. Set the translation preference for the Link field to "Translate" by changing the translation mode of the field group to "Expert" and then setting the Link field within the group to "Translate". 3. If the translation preference for the custom field containing the URL is set to "Translate," you should be able to translate the link directly from the WPML Translation Editor. Please follow these steps to ensure the links can be translated:
- Ensure that the ACF Multilingual plugin is active on your site.
- Set the translation preference for the Link field to "Translate." To do this, first change the translation mode of the field group containing the Link field to "Expert." Once that's done, locate the Link field within the field group and set the preference to "Translate."
- Once done, open the page/post containing the link field
- Make a small change in the title and save the changes.

I would like to translate the URL-components.
E.g. I have the following URL: hidden link
hidden link --> correct, the secondary language
ons-team/ --> this should be translated to our-team/
advocaten/ --> this should be translated to lawyers/
name-of-lawyer/ --> the name of the lawyer
