Thanks Kor. We fixed the SSL issue and I was able to make the change in WPML. The French domain is being used now. Everything looks good, except one thing - when viewing the home page using the French domain (hidden link), some of the images and backgrounds are not displaying on that page. It doesn't look to be an issue on the other French pages using the French domain. Do you know what might be causing that? Also, when logged into the WordPress dashboard, if I click the French language link when on the home page, it takes me to the English home page/domain (hidden link) and not the French home page. This doesn't happen when I am logged out of WordPress. Thanks! |

Thanks for your reply. I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified. Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements. Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me. ✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup. While checking the debug info, I see that the WordPress Memory Limit is below the requirements. The minimum requirements are 128M, but we do recommend 256M and the debug information of your site shows it set to 40M. Please check this link for more details define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); After adding the code you can confirm that the memory was changed correctly from WPML > Support > WordPress > Memory limit. |

Hi Kor, I also checked in cPanel and the memory limit for the website is set to 512M. Ryan |

Thanks for your reply. I've tried to edit the page here using Elementor hidden link and inserted a media to check the library. But it looks fine as shown in the attached screenshot. Could you list the steps to replicate the issue? |

Hi Kor, I also am having issues trying to create a new news post. I created post titled "Port of San Diego’s Blue Economy Incubator Expands Port Innovators Network into USA" and you can see it listed on the "News" page: hidden link But when I click on it's link, it goes to hidden link and displays this message: The page can’t be found. For some reason, the English copy of that post is taking you to the French permalink. It should take you to: hidden link I am not having any of these issues on the staging copy of the website (hidden link). The only difference between the staging website and the live website is the language URL format. The staging site is set to "Different languages in directories" and the live website is set to "A different domain per language". Is there something not configured correctly with the English and French domains and the language settings on the live website that is causing these issues? Also, we are not using any translation services when creating new pages/posts. So when creating a new one we do the following: - Create and publish the English page or post. This process works fine on the staging copy of the website. But as described above, we are having issues on the live website. |

Thanks for your reply. It seems the issue only happens to this particular post hidden link . Others worked fine. I even tested with the WPML plugin disabled and the issue persisted. Check out this screen recording that I recorded hidden link Looks to me like there is something wrong with the Website database or permalink issue. Maybe you can try recreating that post and see if it helps. |

I just moved the copy of that post (English and French) to the trash under "Posts" in the WordPress dashboard and tried creating a new post for the news item that is having these issues. It saved/published fine, but when I went to view it I got this message again: The page can’t be found. The URL for the post also created a French permalink, even though the post is in English: hidden link I have not duplicated the English post to create the French copy yet. Any help getting this resolved would be great. |

Thanks for your reply. I've checked and the issue persists even after deactivating the WPML plugin. Looks like a server issue to me. Please reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to take a quick look at this issue. Could be some htaccess issue or database. Let me know how it goes. |

Are you seeing any issues with how things are configured in WPML when it comes to using the separate French domain? That is the only thing that has changed or that is different between this website and the staging copy of it. |

Thank you for responding. I tried changing the "Language URL format" back to "Different languages in directories," but the issue persists. I also deactivated the WPML plugin, and the problem remains. This shows that the issue isn't caused by WPML and might be related to server configuration. That's why I suggested reaching out to your hosting provider for help. |

Hi Kor, We recently launched a new website for hidden link. The website is built on WordPress and has content in English and French. The WPML plugin is being used for the multilanguage support. When the website was initially launched, the WPML language setting was set to “Different languages in directories” (hidden link - English and hidden link - French). After changing the language setting to use a different domain per language, we have been having issues creating new posts. Here is the steps taken to do that and what we are seeing: The English post is created and published. This was not an issue on the staging website where the WPML language setting was set to “Different languages in directories”. Another issue we are seeing is when editing French pages, if we add an image to the page from the media library, there are not any thumbnails displayed when we open the media library. We contacted WPML support about these two issues and advised contacting WHC to investigate potential server-side issues with .htaccess or the database. If this could be looked into, it would be appreciated. Below is their reply and what the did. It looks like now I can't access any French pages using hidden link. When I am on a English page and click the language switcher link to view the French page, the English page is loaded again. Reply from WHC: I have added the redirection code below in the .htaccess file to ensure that French pages are served from the leciperhfx.com domain and English pages remain on thepierhfx.com RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?leciperhfx\.com$ [NC] I would suggest clear your browser cache/cookies and any website cache that might be active before accessing the website. |

Thanks for your reply. Based on your hosting provider's feedback, they have identified the issue and applied some redirection codes for you. Could you please try and see if everything is working correctly now? |
