[Resolved] Need Help Translating ACF Choice Labels
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is trying to translate the labels of an ACF Checkbox field in a multisite environment. The ACF field groups live in the main site and should get translated to a child site in the multisite network. Solution: We clarified that connecting two different sites within a multisite network using WPML is not possible, as each site in a multisite has its own WPML settings and operates independently. Therefore, the client cannot use the main site's ACF field set translations on a child site.

This data is coming from an ACF Checkbox field with multiple choices (see attachment). I need the Return Value for this field to remain "Both (Array)" because is use both pieces of information in the front end templating.
I want to translate the Label portion and I've done some work on this, but it doesn't appear to be returning the translated labels on the front end.
This is what I've done:
1. Admin > WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation section: I've set the "team_division" custom field to "Translate". (NOTE: I did this for both the main and child site.)
2. Admin > WPML > String translation: I've manually translated these labels in "acf-field-group-69"
When I view a Dutch version of a team member, these division labels are not being translated: hidden link
NOTE: This is a multisite environment. The ACF field groups live in the main site and what you're viewing here is a child site with translations. As noted above in step 1, I set both sites to translate the field set, but String translation is only available on the main site as the child site is using the main site's ACF field set in this case via the local /acf-json/ method.
I cannot test this out until I get an issue related to multisite in a development environment figured-out as I can't do this on my live site. I'm having trouble figuring out how to open a new ticket for this issue. WPML support keeps sending me in circles.

Hello,
If you can provide me access to the live site, then I can take a copy with the plugin "All In One WP Migration" and debug the issue on localhost.
But first of all, I would simply review the current configuration to see if there is maybe an issue.
I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate this issue further.
You can find the required fields below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, which means only you and I can see and access it.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure to make a backup copy of the website and database before allowing us access.
If you can't see the wp-admin / FTP fields, your post and website credentials are set as PUBLIC. DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.
I may have to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to make a copy of the website where I can investigate the issue further.

Another supporter has taken on helping me with my multisite configurations. Should I wait for that to be resolved before proceeding with you? I wouldn't want anyone stepping on another's toes.
Your access might not be required. I will know once I get the multisite environment figured-out and can perform my own tests based-on your Reply #14780625. I will let you know. Thank you.
