I am experiencing a slow query problem with the WPML and WPML String Translation plugins on a site under development. The issue causes the database to overload to 100%. I have tested various solutions, including increasing server specifications, changing to the default theme, turning off WPML, cleaning the wp_icl_strings table, and disabling WP Rocket, but none have resolved the issue. The problem started about a week ago, and WPML seems to be the main cause. I have attached the queries that are consistently running and overloading the database. The website in question is superkilometerfilter.com. Here is an example of the queries: 2025-05-14T10:14:01.983111Z 25080 Query UPDATE `wp_icl_string_translations` SET `status` = '3' WHERE `string_id` = '109'.
Symptoms:
The database is overloaded to 100% due to WPML and WPML String Translation plugins, causing server errors.
