[Escalated to Compatibility team] Avada button urls is not available for translations in Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
For clarity- The unresolved issue was the button URL not appearing in the WPML advanced translator editor, so not being able to edit any button URLs for non default language.
Thanks
Update - So I made the client's website live by moving a copy of .htaccess and index.php copy to the root folder.
I adjusted the WordPress URL vs Site Address URL correctly in the WP General settings too.
All the menu links work correctly but...
...now all internal BUTTON LINKS are giving 404 error or going to the Default/English page.
And my original problem of button URLs not appearing in WPML translation editor persists, so I simply have no way to fix the button links to point to the correct German page 🙁
Really disappointing.
"Can you update the page and its translations for the pages that have the issue?"
I had already done that, it fixed the 404 error part but not the German buttons going to the default/English page instead of the German page.
And obviously I can't edit the button url to correct the links, to point the buttons to the German page, as button urls are not showing up on the WPML Advanced translator lol 🙁
Ok I went back into WPML Advanced translation Editor and first did a "read more" search as all buttons text start with that text. Then I cleared the search field and typed "http" and this time buttons showed.
Or unless maybe you did something on the backend to fix it?
I changed my WP login password as the client's site is live now, and I did not want to risk any issues. Currently, the button url seem to be appearing in the Advanced translation editor consistently when I do a "http" search (fingers crossed) .
As you yourself checked previously, they were not appearing. If you need access to a copy install of the website, then let me know.
