All of a sudden, my license became invalid not allowing to download updates.
I have already tried to add key manually and paste it in wp-config with no luck.

We have applied a fix for this issue. Please try the following steps to register the site with a new key after a full site backup{mandatory} and make sure you are getting the expected result or not.
- Go to your account page (https://wpml.org/account/sites/)
- Delete the key for the site
- Go to Plugins>>Add New>>Commercial tab
- Click on the "Register WPML" link
- Click on the "Get a key for this site" link
- Copy the newly generated code
- Visit back to Plugins>>Add New>>Commercial tab
- Register the site with the new key
