Hi, is there a problem with automatic translations at the moment? I had three (3) automatic translations that were pending for more than 10 minutes, and when I canceled and restarted them, the same thing happened again. They've now been in progress for more than one hour. |

Hello again, Thank you for the confirmation. Have you tried to resend the pages to translation and checked if the jobs are still stuck? You can even retry the sync options in WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting link and then send the posts to translation. Please keep us posted about your results. Thank you. |

hidden link Hi Mateus, I've done as you suggested. I made small edits to two pages and resent them for automatic translation in production. This time, the automatic translations completed within a minute or two, which was great, but this seems to have introduced a problem where now one of our pages shows a 404 error, as seen at the link above. Can you tell what's wrong with this page when you log into the site? |

Hi there, Thanks for your reply. We have ran the troubleshooting options again, and now the German page seems fine: hidden link Could you please review it and let us know if it's solved indeed? Thank you. |

Hi, I tried again -- visited "Edit Translation" and made a few edits -- and this error appeared again after I clicked on "Complete" in the ATE: We're sorry, but something went wrong. This is the URL where the error appears: Is there something wrong with the ATE website at the moment? ... Also, after I tried this, I confirmed that the German Playbook page still shows the edits that you created but not my edits in the ATE. When I use the WordPress editor to see what's on the back end of the page, I see your edits there as well but not mine. So it seems that when the "something went wrong" error message appears, the ATE gets out of sync with the WordPress website, which I guess makes sense. |

If it helps, I also tried the normal method of creating automatic translations, and the queue is stuck again on hidden link. hidden link (7m 22s) In this video, you can see how I recreated the problem. I'm wondering whether you notice anything wrong in these steps, and if not, I wonder whether you can recreate the problem if you follow these same steps. |

Hi there, Thank you for this video showing the issue. Upon further inspection, we could solve it by following these steps: - resend the pages to translation After this, the translations worked just fine, it seems. Have you spotted any other problem in this meantime? About the translations in the queue 'stuck' status - it's expected, since you have settled the 'Let me review it before it gets published' option in WPML -> Settings -> Automatic translation. You still need to go to the Translations queue, review the translations and approve it. Please let me know if it's clear now. Thank you. |

Hi Mateus, the problem is that some of the automatic translations never complete. So these translations don't appear in the translation queue for people to review, and there is no way to complete them because they're not in the queue. You'll see this exact problem begin at 5:08 in this video shared yesterday: |

Hello Joe, That is very strange, because I've just sent the three pages to translation, and then they worked just fine. First, in the review mode: hidden link And also by reviewing and approving them - you can check that the German translation is marked as completed in the Edit screens of the pages: hidden link Please bear in mind that once a translator takes and completes a translation job, the same job can no longer be taken by a second translator. If you want a different translator to edit and review the same translation, you need to resend the content for translation and assign it to that translator. I hope that it's solved now, please keep us posted. Thanks! |

hidden link Hi Mateus, I can still recreate this problem most of the time, as you'll see in this new video linked above. The automatic translation queue gets stuck when I send pages for automatic translation, and there is no way to review the automatic translations in progress because they are stuck. Right now, the automatic translation queue has been stuck for more than 1 hour and 10 minutes, and there are only three (3) small pages in the queue. I can recreate this problem in more than one browser. Would it help if we schedule time for a screenshare where we recreate the problem and you can see it as it happens? If so, I could meet on Monday with some advanced notice, between 8:30am ET and 5:30pm ET, if there's a time that works for you. Maybe the automatic translation process relies on a service that is getting overwhelmed during ET business hours? Joe P.S. My apologies that during the video linked above, I mention the local system time, but the time is not visible in the video. My mistake! |

Hello Joe, Thanks for your reply. As a last attempt, let's try a couple of tests before I ask for guidance to our second tier team. First, please remove your user as a translator in the WPML -> Translation Management -> Translators tab, and then re-add it with the desired language-pairs. After this, please follow these steps: - Just to be safe, make sure to have a website backup before proceeding # Clear the cache in WPML Now try to resend the pages to automatic translation again. If you're still stuck, may I kindly ask you to provide us with the login credentials of the WordPress user that is doing those actions? It might be related, and perhaps we can replicate the issue only with a few users (another valid test would be to remove all of them from the Translators tab, and then re-add). Your next response will be private. Please keep us posted. Thank you. |

Hi Mateus, thanks you for the suggested troubleshooting steps. Before attempted these steps, I confirmed that three automatic translations requests were still stuck and awaiting automatic translation. Then I followed these steps, and the automatic translations went through the queue as they should. So this is good. May I try again on Wednesday when people are back from the July 4th holiday? My current hypothesis, mentioned in a previous video, is that the automatic translation system might be getting overwhelmed on days with normal traffic, and today is a low-traffic day due to the US holiday tomorrow -- many people have taken off work today for an extended weekend. Also, the problem happens most of the time but not all of the time, also mentioned in a previous video. So it's great that the automatic translations worked when I tried them, but I suspect that the problem might occur again soon, as it often does. I will try again on Wednesday, and see whether the automatic translation process still works when things are back to a more normal load. |

Hi Mateus, our automatic translations have gotten stuck again as of yesterday afternoon after we returned from the July 4th holiday in the US. So the problem is not yet solved, unfortunately. |
