This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After migrating and redesigning a site using WPML, the English language selector is missing on several pages, and the English main menu is not displaying correctly, showing only the site logo and the language selector.
Solution:
1. Confirm that the site is registered with the correct WPML site key for the live domain in Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab.
2. Check if the translated pages are in the Trash and either permanently delete them or restore them, as pages not in a published state will not display the language switcher.
3. Ensure proper synchronization of the navigation menu by following the steps in this documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/
4. If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, it is advisable to check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

Hi,
I'm writing to you about these issues: we redid the site. The staging version started from a site already translated with WPML. We created new pages, templates, etc. Once everything was finished in the Italian version, we used automatic translation for the new pages and templates. However, the following happens:
1. On several pages, despite being 100% translated, the English language selector is missing.
2. If you go to the English version of the pages accessible from the menu, the English main menu is missing; there's only the site logo and the language selector. How can we resolve this?

I add: Italian pages without the selector in frontend, appear as "Not translated" in WP Menu Synchronization, even though the translation actually exists and is 100% complete. These pages cannot be added to the English menu.

Thanks for your reply. My apologies for the ongoing issue that you're encountering. I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply. Please allow me to address your questions below.

1. The translated pages are currently in the Trash, as shown in this screen recording: hidden link . You’ll need to either permanently delete them or restore them. If a page is not in a published state, the language switcher will not allow you to switch between languages.

2. I’ve checked your navigation menu and it does not appear to be properly synchronized. Please refer to the following documentation, which explains how to correctly translate and sync menus in WPML: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

Let me know if you’d like me to walk you through the steps.
