This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After connecting the site to translation memory and retranslating the previously translated content was consuming the credits again.

The option to "Leave existing translations as they are" or "Overwrite existing translations" was not appearing.

Solution:
Please note that the said options may not appear if the content hasn't been translated already (like translating anew) or in the client's case, reinstalling WPML and connecting to existing translation memory which is somehow the same as you're translating new content.

In this case, please follow the exact steps, so your credits are not consumed and you get that "Leave existing translations as they are" option:

- Go to WPML -> Translation Management Dashboard.
- Select one of the content which show translated already (like there's a green tick mark under flags).
- And then select the content which needs translation and showing small red "i" in circle.
- Then select to translate automatically.
- Then select "Leave existing translations as they are".
- Then click "Translate" button.

I only translated a few pages of content, such as news and FAQ pages, but now I have used up a lot of new translation points. What should I do?
Are you looking into this issue? Have you reopened a new support ticket?

My website is hidden link. The WPML activation code is 388ca643f0.
My website is not linked to the WPML account (jackz-5) that I am currently communicating with you about. It is linked to another WPML account. Please note that I am waiting for your reply.

I want to finish translating the entire website this month because the more I use, the cheaper the translation credit becomes. I don't want to translate a little bit next month and pay a higher price.

I am translating a page for testing purposes. The URL is hidden link, which shows 765 translation credits. I translated it into 6 languages, which is 765 x 6 = 4,590 translation credits.

Before starting the translation, it showed a total of 64,692 translation credits required for payment, so 4,590 + 64,692 = 69,282. However, after completing the translation of this page, it shows 72,504, which is an overcharge of 3,222 translation credits. Additionally, this content has already been translated once and should not be charged again. Please assist me. Thank you.

The translation credits are being consumed too quickly.

Hi,

Reference to the other ticket, I've split the credits issue here and looking into it.

In the meanwhile, I'll recommend to stop further translations until the credits issue is fixed.

I'll update you on this by tomorrow.

Regards.

Can you please also tell me that now when you're translating again, are you using the "same" content as you translated previously? Or making changes in the content (for example changes in the title, text, custom fields, other than images) before translating again now?

Okay, thank you. I did not make any changes to the web page content before translating. I only checked the product images on the English page as you requested.

When I tested the translation, I did not translate the product pages where I adjusted the images, but instead tested the translation of pages such as News, FAQ, and About Us.
Under normal circumstances, these pages have not been changed and should not consume any additional translation credits.

Please help me check this. Thank you. I want to finish all the translations as soon as possible.

Hello, so far, the website translation seems to be working fine, but I need to translate more content for testing purposes. However, I have already used up a lot of new translation credits. I need to resolve the translation credit issue before I can translate more content for testing.

Please help me check the issue of duplicate translation credit consumption on the website. Have you linked my website to WPML? Previously, my website was linked to another WPML account (activation code 388ca643f0), and all translations were completed using that account, not the current WPML account jackZ-5 that we are communicating with now.

I am awaiting your response. I aim to complete all translations by July 31, as I have used a significant amount of translation credits this month, resulting in a lower unit price. I do not wish to use a minimal amount of translation credits next month, as the unit price would be much higher.
Thank you. Please assist me in resolving the translation credit issue as soon as possible, and I will promptly complete the translation of all content. Thank you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I'm discussing the issue with the team and we're investigating it. However, I need some quick information from you.

You mentioned:

When I tested the translation, I did not translate the product pages where I adjusted the images, but instead tested the translation of pages such as News, FAQ, and About Us.

Can you give me the exact URLs (permalinks) of Pages in default language (English) you just translated (which consumed additional credits)? I can find FAQ and About Us but not sure about the News page, as well as, other pages.

Looking forward.

Dear, thank you for your reply.
I have tested the following translation pages:
News:
hidden link
Service - Parts Catalog:
hidden link
Service-FAQs:
hidden link
About:
hidden link

Of course, you can also translate a single page to test the translation credits consumed. First, record the credit points before translation, then compare them with the credit points after translation. Thank you.

Okay, thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
You can download this file (in the screenshot below), which contains all the pages I have recently translated. All of them have used up new points, which should not be the case. thanks

Please see the attached image and let me know which option did you select when retranslating the pages recently?

Dear, thank you for your reply.
I know I should choose the first option (keep the existing translation). There is no need to translate it again.

However, when translating the About, FAQs, News, and Parts Catalog pages, these two options did not appear, so I was unable to select them.

Please translate one page for testing purposes. Thank you.

Thank you for the confirmation. I've updated our team about it.

I also translated Privacy Policy page to Spanish only and noticed the credits consumption (I had no such option available also).

I'll update you as soon as there's another update.
