Background of the issue:
I am trying to perform a theme scan using WPML, but each scan finds the same number of new strings. The scan is successful, finding 22 strings, but they are never saved to the database. Here is the console output: ams.wpml.org/mini_app/localization/da.json?version=4.5.4:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ().

Symptoms:
The theme scan finds 22 new strings each time, but they are not saved to the database. Additionally, there is a console error: 'Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404'.

Questions:
Why are the new strings not being saved to the database?
What does the 404 error in the console indicate?

Of cause now everything is there, typical. I cleared the cache, logged in and out, trying to log in from inkognito mode etc.

I also tried to clear the wpml cache from the support page, not still it wasnt there.

But since it has been working now from this morning, is there something that runs periodically in WPML that cannot be manual triggered?

Hello,

Not in this case, since strings from the theme can / are scanned only when you scan the theme files.

Another reason might be that you have auto-register mode enabled from WPML > String translation, so it might pickup some strings while you are browsing your website.
