Problem: The client is unable to translate WooCommerce emails using WPML and the Kadence Email Designer. They followed the WPML guide for translating WooCommerce emails but encountered an issue where WPML's String Translation returned 'NO strings found' when attempting to add translations. Solution: We advised the client to ensure that they have entered data into each field within the WooCommerce email templates, as placeholders are not available for translation. After filling in the email template fields, the client should: 1. Navigate to WPML > Theme and Plugin Localization and scan the WooCommerce plugin for strings. 2. Once the scan is complete, search for the email strings in the Admin screen and include those strings for translation. I'm going to translate the Woocomemrce email, in particular I will use Kadence Email Designer. But anyway the first step is translating email. I've installe Woocommerce Miultilingual.
So I try to follow you guide:
So I go to woocommerce->settings->email (please look attached picture)
Then i pass to the next steps of your guide.
When I arrive to the point 'This opens the new text in WPML’s String Translation. Click the plus icon to add and save your translations.', and I do what the guide said, WPML translation reply 'NO strings found' (please look at attached file)but it should have found something that a I can translate with + button.
I'm wondering why it doesn't work.

Could you please check and confirm that you've added data to the available fields within each Email template? Please check this screenshot for a better understanding: hidden link
Please note that placeholders won't be available for translation. For that reason, it is the primary requirement to enter data into each field within the Email template to be able to find and translate them.
Once the data has been added, please go to the "WPML > Theme and Plugin Localization" section and scan the "WooCommerce" Plugin for Strings. After the scan is completed, search for the Email Strings in the Admin screen and include those strings for Translation. Please check the documentation below to better understand the process of registering strings from the Admin Screen.

I first check if in any field there is text and not only palcedoleder.
It seems text but I verify that I can't edit it so I write the text by hand (just copying the same). Now I can translate.
Just one question more. the panel shows for each type of email (new order...failed order...) three fields and and the additional one. Probably the three ones comes for woocommerce that use italian as primary language, while the Additional text use english (that should be secondary). Now, in your opinion what is the better choice. Change it from english to italian and translate or leave english and translate to italian?
I would like to leave use the 'clean' way'.

Glad to hear that you've managed to translate the Email contents.
Addressing your other query - Given that Italian is the site's primary language and you've added Italian text in the "Additional Content" field, it's advisable to set the field's source language to Italian and then translate it into English. If not done so, the Italian content will appear in the English version within the String translation.
Although you can change the source language of the String from the String translation, it is better to update the source language from the Email template editor.
