Links that have been translated display differently in the translated version. They add an extra line above and beyond. If I correct this in the translated version it gets over written. In the ATP, there is no option to use different formatting. You can't complete a translation, the same as the English version. |

Hi, Thank you for contacting the support. Can you share an example URL where I can see this happening? For example a test page containing the issue, so I can examine about it. May I also ask for the debug information of your website for an overview of your setup? See https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/ for more information. I've enabled the debug information section for your next reply. Additionally you can also take a look at https://wpml.org/faq/checklist-before-opening-a-ticket-in-wpml-support/ and cross-check for a few initial fixes. See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security. Looking forward. |

Thank you for the updates. Before proceeding further, I'll advise to fix/try the following: IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised. - Fix “WP Memory Limit” to at least 128MB while 256MB is recommended. See https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/ for detailed information. You can set this in your wp-config.php file by adding following code: define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); Remember to add these lines before the line where it says: - Update WordPress to the latest version. Then: Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter. |

I guess that list of to dos is a good way of for you to push the ball along the road a little bit. I've been through most of them but it's got nothing to do with the problem. It's become clear that the issues arises with the combination of a hyperlink formatting marker and white text formatting marker. It doesn't happen if you use a black text formatting marker but I don't wanna use that! The only way I've managed to work around it is to put the white formatting marker around a a few more characters of the text in order to stop the two markers being directly on top of each other and then the extra lines aren't added automatically. It's a bug in WPML which is very irritating. It seems like there's a lot of these little bugs in your system. |

My apologies for your disappointment, I offered what I saw in your debug information as a first things to do. Anyways, I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated. Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely. Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in admin and on frontend. IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also. See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security. |

The problem has just arisen again. It's adding extra lines when there is both a link and formatting in white text. |

Also by the way I didn't provide you with FTP access because it's too complicated. If you need more control please contact me. |
