[Resolved] Vimeo content blocker can't be translated, but keeps showing up
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client has an issue with a content blocker for Vimeo that keeps showing up as needing translation on the translation overview page. When clicking on the "check translation" button, nothing happens. Solution: We resolved the issue on a copy of the client's website. To fix it on your site, navigate to Cookies > Content Blocker and click on the plus sign under the English flag. On the next screen, simply save without changing any settings. This should remove the 'check translation' notice. If this solution doesn't resolve your issue, please open a new support ticket with us.

On the translation overview page I have one page - a content blocker for Vimeo - that keeps showing up as a page that needs translation. But when I click on the "check translation" button for this one, nothing happens. Can you remove this page or make it editable for me?
That issue might have different causes. Could you please share your debug information with me? This way I can take a first look at what might be causing this. Here's an explanation on how to do that:
Thank you for sharing. Everything seems to be in order with your debug information.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.
IMPORTANT
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:
I was able to resolve your issue on a copy of your website. To fix it, please go to Cookies > Content Blocker and click on the plus sign under the English flag (see screenshot). On the next screen, simply save (it's not necessary to change any settings). That should remove the check translation notice.
There was no plus sign in the Vimeo area, just under some of the other ones mentioned, but I tried clicking on the flag instead and saved. Now I can only see a German flag instead of an English one, but the Vimeo translation has indeed disappeared. Hope that was an okay way to go and hasn't made any big changes. If it has and find something strange, I'll be back in touch. If not, great. And thanks. 🙂
