I am trying to: add a translation machine for automatic translation. I get an error that they can't be loaded.

Also the automatic translations are on hold. When I try to activate them, I get an connection error.

Hi there,

Sorry for the delayed response due to the weekends and high support queue.

First of all, I see your site only has 40 MB of WP memory limit which is less than the WPML requirement and could cause issues.

Please add this near the end in your wp-config.php file (just before /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
) as explained in the next link

Then, see if it makes any difference.
{code}
/** WP Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
{/code}
https://wpml.org/faq/checklist-before-opening-a-ticket-in-wpml-support/#how-to-increase-your-sites-memory-limit

The wp-config.php file is located in your WordPress root directory. It’s the same file where the database configuration settings are. You will have to access it by FTP or SFTP in order to edit it.

Also, can you please check if there is some firewall or security setup on the server or site that could block connection to WPML? If yes, please whitelist the following domains and see how it goes:

wpml.org
api.wpml.org
ate.wpml.org
