Background of the issue:
I am setting up a WooCommerce store with WPML and MailPoet. The site is under development, and I want to ensure that transactional emails are sent in the correct language based on the customer's choice, either Italian or English.
Symptoms:
Currently, the emails do not switch language depending on the customer’s language selection.
Questions:
How can I configure WPML and MailPoet to ensure that emails are sent in the appropriate language?
Before this thread is assigned to my colleague, I’d like to offer some initial guidance and possible solutions.
In WooCommerce, the emails sent to customers after completing a purchase will be in the language they used during the purchase. For example, if a customer makes a purchase while the site is set to Spanish, the email they receive will also be in Spanish. However, to ensure the email content is translated correctly, please refer to the guide below and verify that the email content has been properly translated.
Regarding Mailpoet emails, please note that the Mailpoet plugin is not officially compatible with WPML. This is also mentioned on the compatibility page, which you can view here: https://wpml.org/plugin/mailpoet-3-new/.
If you wish to use WPML and Mailpoet together, the translation process will need to be done manually. You’ll need to create forms separately for each language and manually translate the emails and the unsubscribe page.
I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you have any other queries or need clarification. I'll be happy to help.
