This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with product translations in WooCommerce using WPML. Specifically, attributes created directly within products are not appearing in the Advanced Translation Editor or in WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes or String translations.

Solution:
We recommend creating attributes globally in Products > Attributes rather than within individual products. This ensures that they are available for translation in the Advanced Translation Editor and in WooCommerce Multilingual.

If this solution doesn't look relevant to your issue, please open a new support ticket with us.

Hi,

We are facing the following issues related to product translations.

1. In many products the attributes are not translated. In particular, it does not show us in the Advanced Translation Editor, the specific attributes so that we can proceed with the translation. Also, these attributes do not appear in WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes or String translations.

For example: hidden link

2. We use the Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce plugin to create two custom tabs. In these tabs we have added some pdfs in the original language (Greek) and we have tried to upload the corresponding PDFs in the second language (English), either from media translation or directly from Media (in English).

The English pdfs are displayed correctly, but when we edit the translation of an English product through the Advanced Translation Editor, in the English product on the front end the Pdf is displayed incorrectly in the main language (Greek).

For example: hidden link

We tried to add the custom tabs (and their corresponding content) also through the option provided by the porto theme (i.e. the theme we use) and exactly the same problem occurs.

For example: hidden link

3. Also, in some English products the tab name appears translated and in others not. This is only done on tabs that have been added with the Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce plugin.

We have already tried disabling the Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce plugin, or doing Sync products variations or clear cache.

Can you help us with the above?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

thanks for contacting us.

As per our support policy, we're going to solve one issue per ticket, so I'll only reply about issue n.1

Are the attributes already translated in WPML > Taxonomy translation by any chance? If so, it's expected you don't see them in the advanced editor.

Which is the attribute name? Is a global attribute or you set it on a product by product basis?

Hi,

Thank you for the support.

In WPML > Taxonomy translation it does not show us the specific atrributes.

The specific atrributes are created from within the products and are not global attributes.

The atrributes in the main language (Greek) are:

Χρώμα

Κιβώτιο

Their translation into the second language (English) is:

Χρώμα -> Colour

Κιβώτιο -> Box

This is somehow expected, at the moment I can only suggest to create the attributes in Product > Attributes and not in the product directly.

Hi,

I cannot open a new ticket for the following problem. Could you open it yourself?

We are facing the following issue related to product translations.

We use the Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce plugin to create custom tabs. In these tabs we have added some pdfs in the original language (Greek) and we have tried to upload the corresponding PDFs in the second language (English), either from Media Translation or directly from Media (in English).

The English pdfs are displayed correctly, but when we edit the translation of an English product through the Advanced Translation Editor, the Pdf is displayed incorrectly in the main language (Greek) in the English product on the front end.

For example: hidden link

We tried to add the custom tabs (and their corresponding content) also through the option provided by the porto theme (i.e. the theme we use) and the problem persists.

For example: hidden link

Also, in some English products the tab name appears translated and in others not. This occurs only on tabs that have been added with the Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce plugin.

We have already tried disabling the Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce plugin, or doing Sync products variations or clear cache.

Can you help us with the above?
