Tell us what you are trying to do?
Translate the string woocommerce price display suffix

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Have looked at other resolved tickets , and added woocommerce plugin to string translation, but it says this string is locked by wpml config file, how do i proceed
Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

Referring to the screenshot you shared, it looks like the string is already added to your "String Translation".

Have you tried searching for the string "inc. tax" in your String Translation?

Hi,
thanks for your reply, I did try searching for the string after i added it but it says no string added. then i looked for it in the admin text and as you see in the screenshot it says the text is registered and locked by a wpml config file.

Thanks for your reply.

I would need to take a closer look at your site. So I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

IMPORTANT: Please, note, a backup is required for security reasons, and to avoid any data loss, you can use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/plugin for these backup needs.

Your following answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Hi,

I see, I changed it now to inc. tax as another plugin also has a few strings inc vat. so its not confusing.
I can see on the staging site / that the string is open for translation but on the the live site we still have that it is locked with a wpml config file,
How do we move forward?
Since the staging site seems fine, but the live site is the issue with the string and translations.

Thanks for your reply.

Registered and locked means the string is available in the String Translations and is ready to be translated.

Are you saying that translating the string in the String Translation is not showing the translated version on the front end?

Hi,

Exactly, when i go on the staging site, I can see that i can translate the string it gives me the + sign and i can add the correct translations. On the live site, I cannot find the string to translate. All i get it is like the second image that says the string is locked, and the string does not show up anywhere except there in the admin text, and it is not translatable.
