Hi, I'm using the Media Translation in nearly all of our websites without any problem but now, I don't know why I cannot make it work on a new created multisite. All image translations are not appearing on the specific language. In fact, the images appearing on the translated language are not even on the media library. Website: hidden link |

Hi, Thank you for contacting the support. Before moving forward, may I ask you to try the following please? IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised. A) Fix “WP Memory Limit” to at least 128MB while 256MB is recommended. See https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/ for detailed information. You can set this in your wp-config.php file by adding following code: define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); Remember to add these lines before the line where it says: Then resave permalinks in WordPress settings (without making any change) and recheck for the issue. B) If it still doesn't work, try followings: - Deactivate all plugins except WPML and its addons and check for the issue. Please let me know how it goes and I'll try my best to further assist you on the matter. Regards. |

Hi Hasan, Thanks for your answer. I can see that when translating the media, there is a message that the media has been translated correctly but then never appears. Another problem I've realized is that whenever I add some new content on the original language, there is no icon informing about "need update". The icon only appears when I change content already existing on the page. I add some images for your understanding. Hope we can find a fix soon. |

Thank you for trying the suggestions. What happens if you click that "Scan & Replace" button? Is that what says "media has been translated correctly"? May I ask for admin access to your website to check the issue in detail? You can create a separate admin user for this purpose, which can be deleted afterwards. Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in admin and on frontend. Remember to take full backup of your website and database before proceeding. However, a staging/test site is highly recommended, because I may need to try some changes/fixes on the site (including plugins & themes deactivation), which may cause conflicts with the live site otherwise. Please confirm it in your next reply or let me know if you do not agree with the mentioned. I've set your next reply as private to share this information safely. IMPORTANT: If you don't see the section for providing access information, do not write in the message box or the information may appear as public. See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security. P.S.: For the other issue, I recommend opening a separate ticket because as per forum policy we can only handle one issue per ticket. So others looking for a particular solution can find it easily. |

Thank you for the access and the details. That option 'll be running in background while you can continue to work. However, I think it ran and worked, because I can see same number of images in all languages in Media Library (see attached). Is this what you wanted? |

Hi, My problem is not in backend but on the frontend Hasan. I think you didn't read my early messages to know what is the problem. Problem is "Media Translation" is not working! Please check the images of frontend and backend for reference of "media translation" not working. Regards |

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I can see the problem and have tried to analyze. But unfortunately I can not: - access plugins page to deactivate un-necessary plugins to check the issue if it is really coming from WPML. I am seeing a "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page." on hidden link. - edit a translation, because of a "This site has moved to a new location" message in WPML -> Translation Management (see attached). I also need to check with a default theme which I can switch however. Please fix the above mentioned. It is better to create a development key in your wpml.org account for this site and register WPML with that key. You can assign a very low number of credits for this site if needed. However, I'll not use automatic translation, so your credits 'll not be consumed. For the plugins page, I'll recommend giving the access, instead of deactivating yourself, as I need to review the active plugins as well. |

Hi Hasan, I see. - I should grant you Network permission to be able to deactivate the plugins. I did it before and didn't work it but I'll grant you Network Admin privileges. Can you please send me a form where I can send you the url and password in a secure/private way. - I've already reverted to the original. I don't know why WPML keep asking for the url of each of the site I have created. It has never happened before. I think there is a problem between WPML and Multisite. - I've already created a "Development Key" on the Main site: hidden link of the multisite as explained by WPML staff. I think I don't need a key for each page of the multisite, correct? Regards |

Thank you for the updates. I've enabled your next reply as private again for provide the credentials. For multisite vs WPML, please see https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/ if this give any clue. Or feel free to report in a new ticket to get more appropriate help. About connecting multiple sites in the same account, please see https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/ for details. However, if you are still seeing that notice in the site where we're checking the problem, perhaps you can just unregister this one and add a dev key to this. All I need to access the Translation Management and Translations to observe the reported problem. |
