[Resolved] Translated sections in Divi library do not appear in the Theme Builder
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing issues translating several theme builder layouts in Divi, including a 404 page layout with a custom body and a section from the Divi Library. The sections appear translated in the library, but not in the theme builder, and attempting to open them with the visual builder results in a 404 error. Additionally, when editing footer translations, changes in one language are incorrectly affecting another language.
Solution: We recommend the following steps to resolve the translation issues: 1. Navigate to WPML-> Settings-> Post Type Translation section. 2. Set the "Theme Builders (et_theme_builder)" to "Not Translatable". 3. Click "Save". 4. Go to Divi-> Theme Builder in English. 5. Add a new template. 6. Select the footer. 7. Save it. 8. Go to the URL for editing the footer layout in English (replace with the correct URL for your site). 9. Translate the new footer template (replace with the correct URL for your site). 10. Check the front end in the target language (replace with the correct URL for your site).
We applied these steps to one theme template and translated the footer only to Italian. If this solution does not resolve your issue, please open a new support ticket with us.

I am trying to translate several theme builder layouts (not Global) and first there were minor issues, then all broke completely. Trying to fix it for hours, read everything I could find on your site and forums and honestly I'm close to burning out. Example: I have a layout for 404 page, with a Custom body (not global) and inside a section from Divi Library. This section is translated, but I do not see it appear in the theme builder, only the main language sections. From Divi library too - sections appear translated, but when I try to open one with the visual builder, I get error page. Tried many times, also different sections. Translate them, then try to open and 404 error page. This used to work, I had the footer translated in 3 languages, but when I try to edit it, let's say in French, the translation also went to Italian, so the whole Italian footer became in French. I deleted everything and started from scratch, but cannot upload the new translations. And also one of the layouts is working - there are 3 translations and they work fine. But not all other layouts/sections...

Hi,
here's a screen recording of how translation of Divi library items for use in Theme builder for Footer and Body does not work:

Screen recording for another important issue, not sure if related but still need fixing - the url format setting: hidden link
I cannot provide you link to footer templates, since they are not existing. If I create them, they have to be all in English.
Please help me quickly to fix this, since my customer starts a big campaign in the next couple of days and it will be a disaster if translations do not work. Thank you!

1) I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
2) we try to keep one issue per ticket in our forum. Continuing with one ticket per issue helps supporters focus on one issue at once and enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.
Please check the password because I got the following error. (Error: The password you entered for the email address *** is incorrect. Lost your password?)
Thanks for the access details. Please check the following steps:
1- Go to WPML-> Settings-> Post Type Translation section
2- Set the "Theme Builders (et_theme_builder)" to "Not Translatable"
3- Click "Save"
4- Go to Divi-> Theme Builder in English
5- Add a new template
6- Select the footer
7- Save it
8- Go to this URL (hidden link)
9- Translate the new footer template (hidden link)
10- Check the front end (hidden link)
I applied those steps to the one theme template and translated the footer only to Italian.
Kindly let me know if the above steps fix the issue.
