[Waiting for user feedback] Unable to send completed translations or even translate. Assigned translators reset after refresh, a...
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
I am trying to send new product translation jobs using WPML's Advanced Translation Editor. After assigning a translator, the name resets on refresh. There's no action button (pencil/edit) to open the translation. Attempting to cancel also gives a success message, but refresh shows the job is still active. I followed the workaround provided for sites with a custom DB prefix, and updated /wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/vendor/wpml/wpml/src/Infrastructure/WordPress/Component/Item/Application/Query/SearchQuery/QueryBuilder/ManyLanguagesStrategy/SearchQueryBuilder.php using the correct {$this->queryPrepare->prefix()} references. After that I: - Clicked 'Refresh WPML Tables' - Reassigned jobs - Tried sending for translation - Still no button appears - Assignments reset - Job cancellation also fails on refresh. Symptoms:
Error when sending for translation ('An error occurred while sending the translation.'). Translator resets to blank on refresh. Still no action button. Cancel job success message, but job remains.
Questions:
Why does the translator assignment reset after refresh?
Why is there no action button to open the translation?
Why does the job cancellation not persist after refresh?
What causes the error when sending for translation?

Hello there!
In order to continue we'd need the following:
1) Could you please send me a screenshot or the first 3 rows you see in WPML > Support > Advanced Translation Editor > Error Log.
2) Does this issue happen on all the pages or just some? and if some, do they have something in common that you're aware of?
3) Can you go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting > send me the code you see under "Your automatic translation ID is" which is almost at the beginning of the page, after the language switcher cache enabling/disabling option.
