[Waiting for user feedback] URL not showing in old ATE interface
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
WordPress 6.7 has introduced a new issue that impact translations, please update WooCommerce and WPML to the latest versions before you report issues. More about this here - https://wpml.org/errata/php-error-wp-6-7-notice-function-_load_textdomain_just_in_time-was-called/
Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate page URLs using the old version of the ATE (but they are hidden) since the last WordPress and WPML update. In our team, we only use the old version because the interface is much better than the new one.
Symptoms:
The URL is hidden in the old ATE interface, but it shows fine in the new version. We can translate the URL only if we search for it (search box) or change the ATE version to the new version, which is time-consuming.
Questions:
Could you have a look into this please?
Issue replicated. When I open the ATE new version the URL element is there. When I change to the old version the URL element is not there. Page title Sample 2
Yes, as mentioned earlier URL were not visible in ATE Gen 2, so I don't think it's the problem, it used to be like this for years.
Can you install the theme and plugin you are using and add some content here, if the links are differently added it may have appeared but normal links were not visible in the ATE editor before.
I suggest you to use the new editor or search for the urls and translate it.
As mentioned earlier, we have used the ATE for 3 years in 3 different sites and the page URL was visible in the ATE old version (the links URLs were not), just like it is also visible in the ATE new version. We know that there is a way around it (to search using the search box), but we would like it to go back to what it was, as now it takes longer than before and adds extra time to translations. Is there a solution to this?
I am sorry to let you know that we don't have any settings to enable URLS in ate Gen2, so you will either need to use the new editor or use the search.
Thanks Shekhar. I understand that there are no settings to change this, but the work of the developers might help. We find it strange that the option to translate the URL page was available before the update and is still present in the new ATE. Unfortunately, we do not use the new ATE at this time, as previously reported, because the interface is not ideal. It is still less efficient than the old version and requires considerably more time to complete translations.
I will discuss this with our 2nd tier supporter and will let you know there feedback.
In the meantime, Can you install the theme and plugin you are using and add some content here, if the links are differently added it may have appeared but normal links were not visible in the ATE editor before.
