Background of the issue:
I am trying to save credits in translation as I am on a pay-as-you-go plan. I expected that using a glossary I defined myself would decrease the price per product translation. The issue can be seen at hidden link.

Symptoms:
I am charged 15c per product translation both with and without the glossary, which is unexpected.

Questions:
Why am I being charged the same amount per product translation with and without the glossary?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. I’m happy to assist you with this issue.

WPML uses translation engines for automatic translations. Due to how these engines operate (considering sentences in context), it is not possible to exclude glossary words—they are always processed along with the rest of the sentence. Once the translation is received from the engines, WPML applies the glossary adjustments. As a result, using the glossary will still consume credits.

I hope this clarifies things.

Thank you!
