Today was a problem. 1. Not particularly related to WPML, but perhaps useful information for you.
If you leave Gutenberg enabled, then when editing old posts, it opens a completely different post.
After I turned it off, I use Page Bakery. Everything is working. But when translating the main page of the store. As if there were old translations of Gutenberg. Although there are no such blocks in the editor.
Deleted through string translation. But there were other blocks with the name as on the screenshots. Content is the same. What is this? How to get rid?
I would need to take a closer look at your site. So I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed
Your following answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
Unfortunately, I cannot allow you to enable plugins, since the site is working and there is no such possibility. I can give access to study the problem.
All installed plugins are declared to be compatible with WPML
The problem continues, the bottom line is:
What if a Gutenberg block was created, then translated and the content was removed. This content is displayed in the WPML translator, but not in the frontend.
I disable Gutenberg from time to time since I hardly use it, via WPbakery. (maybe this cause?)
If we follow your instructions, we have:
Page Builder Page XXXX, delete according to your message.
Sorry, I cannot help without being able to check the backend. Could you clone the site to another staging URL so that I could check? Or would you like to replicate the issue on our sandbox site?
If you're willing to share access to your production site, please backup everything first.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
