This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The client is experiencing an issue where job titles disappear on the frontend when switching from Dutch to English on their website. They are unsure how to ensure job titles appear correctly after language switching.

Solution:

We recommend checking and adding the missing translations for the 'Positie' field in the English version of the posts. This can be done by accessing the specific post in the WPML's translation editor. Here are the steps:

1. Go to the WordPress admin panel.
2. Navigate to the post you want to translate (e.g., Post 9332 or Post 9319).
3. Add or verify the translation for the 'Positie' field.
4. Save the changes and check if the job titles appear correctly on the frontend.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate job titles at this specific page on my website hidden link from Dutch to English. I know I can add missing strings to the translation basket when they're missing in the translation section, but I find this confusing as they are completely gone at the frontend when switching from Dutch to English.

Symptoms:
The job titles are disappearing on the front end when switching from Dutch to English on the page hidden link.

Questions:
How can I ensure that certain page attributes job titles appear when switching languages at the front end?
Is there a specific step I am missing in the translation process for job titles at this page?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

We hope you are using WPML Advanced Translation Editor for translating the posts and pages. Are you able to translate the job titles to English while translating this page - hidden link

Please upgrade to the latest version of WPML (4.6.15 series) after a full site backup {mandatory}. Then update the page translation and make sure the issue exists or not.

Hello,

Thank you for the details. This looks like a compatibility issue with Grid, which is used to list the team members.

Therefore, we have a request: Can you please help us replicate the problem in the sandbox site (a fresh installation)? This will speed up the debugging procedures, and we can escalate the ticket directly to our developers. Thank you for your understanding.

1) Click this URL to log in to the sandbox site - hidden link
2) Install & Configure the Total theme and must require plugins to support it
3) Create a couple of Personnel posts and translate it
4) Create a Page with Personnel Grid and translate it

Hi Bigul,

I have created an exact copy of the website in a staging environment. Could you send me your email so i can add you as a user?

That saves me a lot of time.

Thanks in advance.

Robert

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the updates. I am enabling the private option. Please share the credentials and create a temporary admin user for us.

If possible, please install the theme and its must-require plugin on the sandbox site. We will try to reproduce the issue from scratch there.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the staging site. I am getting the expected results after adding the value for the *Positie* field of the English posts.
