Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a global element (Footer) in the Divi Theme using WPML. I want to change the 'about us' link from /за-нас to /en/aboutus.

Symptoms:
When I save the footer after manually translating it, the link changes to /en?page_id=..., which is not good for SEO.

Questions:
How can I ensure the translated link remains as /en/aboutus instead of changing to /en?page_id=...?

Hell,
No we didn't try with disabling all the plugins. The website is in production so we can`t do that.

Hi There!
I hope you're doing well.

I reviewed the entire conversation and understood the issue. This typically happens when the "Sticky Links" addon of WPML converts the permalinks to sticky URLs. Since you've provided access to your site, I logged in and was able to successfully fix the issue in the Bulgarian language. All the links in the footer now display the correct permalinks instead of the page ID.

Here’s what I did to resolve the issue:

- Went to "WPML > Sticky Links"
- Clicked the "Start" button to revert sticky URLs to permalinks (Screenshot: hidden link)
- Once the process is completed, the links in the footer now display the usual permalink structure.

I hope it helps. Feel free to let me know if you have any other queries or need clarification on any step. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
