Our website is in polish as default language, problem is related to second language (work as different domain).
I've two problems related to booking, mostly e-mails.
First one:
When someone book product and go through checkout, there are booking details per item on order complete page. In english version of page we have labels translated:
From, To, Duration, People, only one string is not translated (Dorośli) - I think I tried all the ways from documentation to find/scan this but with no success. I see in admin panel that this is translated but still see this in polish.
Second and most important:
After placing order customer receive an e-mail. Everything is good except... same thing as above but whole is in polish. So in e-mail instead of label "Duration" I see "Czas trwania" and so on.
Third and last one:
After latest updates that caused problems above, I see that I as administrator receive e-mail about new order, but before e-mail subject was in english, now it comes in polish.
I tried to scan plugins, enabled auto search while rendering, search in admin strings but with no success.
Our site is production and live, but If you need access I will make a backup. I attach some screens. Relates:
at-1, at-1-proof relates to problem 1
at-1, at-2, at-2-email relates to problem 2
at-3 is related to problem 3
Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.
The plugin "YITH Booking and Appointment for WooCommerce Premium" isn't available in our list of compatible plugins https://wpml.org/plugin/
so it could be a compatibility issue with WPML. Can you please help me replicate the issue on a clean installation of WordPress? You can access the admin area directly with this link hidden link
Kindly follow the steps below:
- Don’t restore your site there.
- Install YITH Booking and Appointment for WooCommerce Premium plugin.
- Try to replicate the issue with minimal steps.
- Then let me know the steps to replicate it.
Also note that, the email sent to the administrator could be in the user's preferred language. You can set it in Users > Profile > Languages.
I already installed the plugin WP Mail Logging which helps us log emails sent from the WordPress site. You can easily check the language of email content in the admin area > WP Mail Logging.
I also asked for help directly Yith, because they say that their plugins are compatible with wpml, they are investigating the problem right now.
Let's wait one more day, if I don't get any help, I will install plugin, enable woocommerce and configure everything, because it's quite a lot effort to set this all.
However I have one concern - if we use wpml by multidomain and our basic language is polish in our production environment, will this sandbox be reliable?
For the case with admin e-mail title - I would agree but we send woocommerce admin notification to mailbox that isn't registered user.
Ok, let's wait for the response from YITH support. If you want to setup a test site with the different domains per language URL format, I will setup another site on Cloudways server. Currently, the sandbox site doesn't support using that option.
Thanks.
