I requested access to the debug.log but i also sent the case to our developers. it seems this time the 404 error only appears in the review process. let's see what our devs say although i suspect this is happening because of how the theme is made.

Would you mind sending us a copy of the theme so we can run some internal tests and see if we can recreate the problem in a persistent way? you can upload it into something like google drive, or wetransfer, as you did with the debug log?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't forgotten about you. we're trying to figure out why you get these 404 errors. quick question. have you noticed if they happen only on the pages that have the "page builder" and not on products, or other pages that are more standard, by any chance?

Hi Alejandro
No the 404 happens on products not on pages.

On a page - I first get zero content then once I choose Edit the Translation I see the content - Once all changes made I click Complete I again see no content. If I click Accept this translation I'm not shown a success message but i can find the translation as Completed in the list.

I found out why the 404 are appearing and it's not really WPML's fault.

your theme has a code that tries to load the template "page builder" that you have in your pages. it seems to be applied to products and when we return to the product, the chameleon theme checks if there are "page builder" elements assigned. since it's a produc, there aren't any and it just shows a 404 as a result, as written in the theme author's code.

you can have more details shown here: hidden link

However this is not causing any trouble on your end but you might want to talk to the author and let them know that you sometimes have 404 pages due to pages or content that should not be using a page builder but instead the theme thinks it does.

Regards.

Good news, thank you Alejandro. I will send to the author, although they still haven't replied to my earlier message. As it's not causing any trouble I think I'll leave it the way it is.

I really appreciate all you've done to help.
