Background of the issue:
I activated WPML and added the Ukrainian language. After starting to fill it in, I periodically get a 500 error on the frontend. I found a message in the server logs indicating too many redirects: "AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace." I reset WPML completely, tested all plugins, and found that the error only occurs when WPML is enabled: hidden link. WPML seems to have no issues without an additional language.

Symptoms:
I am getting a 500 error on the frontend with too many redirects when WPML is enabled with the Ukrainian language. There is no information in the logs, debug info, or WPML.

Questions:
How can I fix the 500 error related to too many redirects?
Why does the error only occur when WPML is enabled with an additional language?
