Tell us what you are trying to do?
Our developer try to fix problem with translating all content.... and some part of the website just disappeared. I see that categories exist but not showing. And looks like almost all URLs broken.

Is there a similar example that we can see?

How much cost to do correct automatic translate of this website with your dev?

I changed DB to old working version without WPML. But this is old DB and we need to fix existing. Write me please when you can check - I change DB again.

Hi,

Please let me know the steps to reproduce the issue. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Thanks for the access details. The staging site stopped working when deactivating the plugins to check the issue. Could you please check it and let me know when it works correctly?

The issue seems to be a database issue. It could happen during the migration or installing WPML process went wrong.

I want to check the site with all plugins deactivated except WPML plugins to see if we can fix it or if you need to reset WPML and re-install it.

Its stop working because you turned off Flexible SSL for CloudFlare.
Try now please login. And don't deactivate Flexible SSL for CloudFlare 🙂
Problem not in Flexible SSL for CloudFlare.
I can give you access to the main website where all these plugins work fine. And before yesterday all these plugins + WPML worked.
Yesterday, our developer tried to do something in the WPML settings to translate the entire site. But after his manipulation categories and tags disappeared.

Thanks for your explanation. Is it possible to restore a database backup from yesterday before your dev changed the settings?

If that is possible, please do so and ask him about the steps to reproduce the issue.

Developer said that he turned on the Translation of all post types and all. After he cant restore the previous state - he does reset and uninstalls WMPL (via the troubleshooting menu), but this does not help.

Thanks for the new password. Could you please try the following steps?

1- Take a database backup
2- Go to your database manager
3- Go to the wp_options table
4- Search for the following keys and delete them

  • icl_sitepress_settings
  • wpml(Setup)
  • 5- Go to your site's dashboard, and click "Configure WPML"
    6- Check the categories

    ❌ Please backup your database before performing the above steps ❌

    Kindly let me know the result of these steps.

    1) Thanks for your patience. I installed a local copy of your site to debug it, and it's working correctly when deactivating all plugins. (Kindly check the attached screenshot)

    Would you please try the following?
    Deactivate all plugins except WPML CMS, String Translation, and CloudFlare plugins.

    2) Would you please let me know where this custom post type and taxonomy are registered?

    I resaved the permalink structure and it looks like all fine.
    Last question. Can my client hire your dev, and he will setup automatic translation for all content? How much does it cost?
