Laura,

Unfortunately, WP Engine doesn't handle new Sub Sites well on Staging environments. At least not with the Multisite configured to use subdomains. This is because there's nothing to tell it to point that subdomain to the install at all.

I did create a new Development site that is 100% fresh. No "baggage" from the live site. The problem still exists there.

The site is at hidden link if you'd like to take a look. Same credentials as before. I have the setting in question disabled for now since with it enabled you cannot log in at all.

I figure there's two more things we can try:

1. Subdirectory install for Multisite. That should get around the issues with Multisite on WP Engine Staging installs.
2. Attempt to create a Sub Site on Production and point a subdomain toward it for testing.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed.

I'm sorry, but replies here are automatic so we can't add emails in CC.

If you can reproduce the issue on a staging it's fine, I don't think we need any other tests at the moment. I'll escalate the ticket to the 2nd tier and I'll let you know when we have news.
