This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client wants to disable a specific option (not detailed in the summary) and is currently importing products in Greek via XML with WP All Import and then translating them into Bulgarian. Solution: We recommend two alternative methods to the client's current process of duplicating and then translating products: 1. Use automatic translation to bulk translate products. This method incurs additional costs, and it's important to ensure that the products are set as "translatable" under WPML Settings. More information on automatic translation can be found here: Automatic Translation Documentation. 2. Manually translate products without duplicating them by using the WPML Translation Editor. This can be done by going to the products list and clicking on the "+" sign in the languages column. It's essential to have "Languages" checked under screen options at the top of the page. If these solutions do not seem relevant, we encourage the client to open a new support ticket for further assistance. Assistance can be sought at the WPML Support Forum.

Hi, is there a way to disable that option? (screenshot). My site's default language is bulgarian. I import products in greek language via xml with wp all import and then traslate them in bulgrian language.
Languages: English (English )Spanish (Español )Italian (Italiano )
Timezone: Europe/Rome (GMT+01:00)
Hello!
I'll try to help you while a supporter takes your case.
Why would you want to disable that option?
That option is there to help WP All Import understand the language of the templates and it's needed in order to correctly upload and connect the different languages between each other.
In the different links found on that page you'll find a detailed guide on how the process works and how you can/should use that option you want to remove.
Since it's a needed field, then we can't really remove it but we may be able to help find a solution for you if you tell us why you wanted it remove.
Hi Alejandro,
please ignore my comment about disabling the option. I figured out what is the problem and i need your help. let me explain what i do.
My site's default language is bulgarian. I import products in greek language via xml with wp all import, then i duplicate them and traslate them in bulgrian language. The xml is set to run every night. So if i have translated some products, the next day these products are again in greek language. i understand what is the problem ( screenshot ).
So my question to you is how to translate independently all the products that i have duplicated. The are almost 5500.
Thank you.
My name is Lucas, and I'll be your support for your ticket. The process you described for translating your content is valid (duplicating and then translating). There are better options I can suggest, as there's no need to duplicate the products and then translate them.
You can directly create translations without manually duplicating your content. Here are some options I suggest you have a look:
Please note that there are additional costs related attached to automatic translation:
If you use that option, make sure that the products are set as "translatable" under the WPML Settings
2. Manually translate products without duplicating them:
WPML offers the possibility of translating your content using the Translation Editor. To do that, simply visit your products list, and click on the "+" sign on the languages column. Make sure you have "Languages" checked under screen options, at the top of the page.
Tell me if that helps. May that not be the case, I'll be here to further assist you.
