<b>Background of the issue: </b>
I have integrated Crowdin translation service to my WordPress website and already translated my website from English to Russian and Turkish languages on Crowdin. All translation jobs are synced and downloaded.

<b>Symptoms: </b>
Translation on the website is not what was sent from Crowdin. It looks like the translation on the website comes from automatic translation rather than Crowdin translation, even though Crowdin translation service was selected in the settings. Additionally, when trying to download translations from Crowdin using .xliff format and upload to my WordPress website, I get an 'Import Failed Error' saying 'Translation job does not belong to you'.

<b>Questions: </b>
How do I ensure that the translations on my website come from Crowdin rather than automatic translation?
How can I resolve the 'Import Failed Error' when uploading translations from Crowdin to my WordPress website?

I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

Before this thread gets assigned to my colleague, I'd like to offer some initial guidance or potential solutions.

The automatic translation and translation service cannot be enabled simultaneously. If Crowdin is set as your translation service, it should be the only active method.

If you are unable to retrieve the completed translation, please follow these steps:

1. Ensure Crowdin is correctly configured as the WPML Translation service (refer to this guide: hidden link).
2. Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting.
3. Click the 'Refresh Translation Services' button.
4. Create a demo page and send it to Crowdin for translation. Check this guide to make sure that the jopb has been sent to the service in right way.
5. Complete the translation in Crowdin.
6. Go to WPML > Translation Management and click 'Retrieve Translation' to check for completed translations.

Thanks for instructions.
I have send problematic page again to Crowdin and implemented all actions accordingly to your guide and looks like its worked for a time beeing.

But then I had to change one sentence in same translatlation page and edited it on Crowdin. When I tried I could not get translations to webiste again for the same page.

I see that some details(translated by, actions) are missing in "Translation Management-> Jobs page" for the page I need to translate. Dont know if that is the reason. Please advise.

Hello,

It looks like your pages are getting translated automatically.

Please go to WPML > Settings > Automatic Translation and enable the option "Translate what you choose".

Next, make sure that the Classic Translation Editor is enabled for existing and new content. There are two options for this purpose:

If you plan to use only Crowdin for your translation, you should use the Classic Translation Editor, because it will allow you to edit the translations afterward.

The Advanced Translation Editor will not display any translations coming from translation services.

Take note, that for such contents that have been translated with the Advanced Translation Editor, the translations will need to get translated or be sent to Crowdin again, if you enabled the Classic Translation Editor for those contents.

This means the translations from the Advanced Translation Editor are not compatible when resetting to use the old Classic Translation Editor.

Also, take kindly note that our upcoming version of WPML 4.7 will handle the Translation Management differently. We will allow you more freedom to decide which content is translated automatically and which will be translated by yourself or by a translation service. This update is about to be released soon.
