bug, AET not showing URLs to translate

there is some kind of bug.

tried with yoast, was missing URL and all meta data fields from yoast in the ATE.

Change to Rank Math to test, here, SEO meta data fields show up in ATE, but URL is missing.

had this bug before, not sure where to activate URLs to be included in ATE.

also changed and created new page to test, as this usually updates the data pulled into ATE, no success. pls tell me which setting to adjust to translate URLs in ATE or fix this bug

Hello @nickS-28,

Before your question goes to someone else on my team, let me explain some first steps to help you. This will make getting support faster.

It's not a bug, but how it's designed, WPML hides the URLs as it's capable of handling the URL translations itself, the internal URL will be auto-translated and the custom URLs will be shown for translations.

For more details, please check this link: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-urls-shortcodes-and-html-attributes-using-the-advanced-translation-editor/

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

Hi there,
I am not sure we are describing the same issue.

Below, you will find two screenshots.

1. The website where ATE does not show the URL
2. The website where it does show the URL

we need the URLs to be shown for the ATE on the first website too.

Please confirm you see the URL field in the second screenshot and advice on how to activate it for the first website.

Thanks.

Hello There,
I hope you're doing well.

Thank you for the clarification. I understand that you want the page Slug/URL to appear in the Translation editor for Translation. Kindly check the documentation below and make the adjustments accordingly on your site.

After that, make a small edit on the default page and save the changes. Once it is done, try to update the translation.

I hope it will help. But, feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello There,

Glad to hear that the URL field showed up in the Translation editor.

Since the Rank Math meta fields aren't showing in the Translation Editor, please do the following steps and check if that helps to solve the issue.

- Please go to "WPML > Settings" and scroll down to the "Custom Field Translation" section
- Click on the "Show System Field" link
- Search for the Meta field that is not showing in the Editor
- If that field appears in the Result, make sure to set the translation preference to "Translate" and save the changes
- Clear the caches completely from the site and browser
- Now, open the default post in WordPress Editor
- Make a small change in the title and save the changes.
- Try to update the translation

Let me know the update. If you need further assistance in this matter, I will be happy to help.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
