This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client wants to know if they can use WPML for another domain after one of their company sites has closed down.
Solution:
We recommend deleting the WPML site key for the closed company's website. You can do this from your WPML.org account at https://wpml.org/account/sites/.
Afterward, create a site key for the new domain you want to register. Then, log in to the new site and register using the newly generated WPML site key (found under Plugins>>Add New Plugin>>Commercial tab).
