This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to change the site title so that it reflects the correct language version for each language on their multilingual site. They were unable to find the strings needed for translation when searching in the WPML String Translations.
Solution:
We recommend translating the site titles as regular strings via WPML -> String Translations. Since SEO plugins like SeoPress use a backend options page to add titles, these need to be translated accordingly. We provided a guide on how to locate and translate global SEO texts: Translating Global SEO Texts.

If the strings are showing the incorrect source language, the client can change the source language of the strings by following this guide: How to Change the Source Language of Strings.

Please note that the solution provided might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket. Contact WPML Support.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

Change the site title so it is the proper one for each language version.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Yes, I tried finding the solution in the help forum but for some reason I'm unable to find the strings that I need to translate.

Is there a similar example that we can see?

For example if I search for our website from google.fr, it appears but with the Bulgarian site title (the default language).

What is the link to your site?

Hi,

SeoPress uses a backend option page to add those titles. Therefore, you need to translate them as regular strings via WPML -> Sting Translations.

Here is a guide from the authors on how to locate them: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/optimize-wpml-multilingual-sites-for-search-engines-using-seopress/#translating-global-SEO-texts.

Hello, thank you for the explanation, I was able to fix it to an almost perfect state. One thing I'm not sure how to fix - our website's default language is Bulgarian but following the guide from SEOPress I see that the English version is the default one when doing the String Translation. And that version shows texts in Bulgarian. I'm not sure how to handle that. Please see the screenshots.

I will be really thankful if you could pinpoint how to fix that too.

Hi,

This means the string was translated into English (as you see the English flag). It is very simple to solve; you only need to select "Bulgarian" as the source language on the button below: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/how-to-change-the-source-language-of-strings/.

Then, you will see Bulgarian + the Bulgarian flag, and you can translate the strings into English.

Awesome! Thank you very much! It was an easy fix (when you know how to do it). All is fine now.
