Tell us what you are trying to do?

Translate Gravity Forms forms.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Not really, this is all via the backend.

What is the link to your site?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

Hope you are using WPML Advanced Translation Editor for translating the Posts. Please try the following steps and make sure you are getting the expected results or not.

1) Upgrade to the latest version of WPML(4.6.4 series)
2) Increase *WP Memory Limit* to *256*(the minimum required memory limit for WPML is *128*). Please check the following links for more details

https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

https://wordpress.org/support/article/editing-wp-config-php/#increasing-memory-allocated-to-php
3) Clear all types of caches
4) Update a Gravity Form in the original language to refresh the translation settings
5) Send it for translation

Hi Bigul,

I went through all these steps -- increase WP memory limit, cleared cashes, updated forms in the original language, and sent forms for translation -- and forms are still not appearing in the translations queue. What should we try next?

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. Hope you are doing the following steps to translate the Gravity Forms. This is the correct workflow for translation. Refer to this article for more details https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/

1) Visit WPML>>Translation Management Dashboard
2) Filter the posts by Gravity Forms
3) Choose the Forms you want to translate or update the existing translations
4) Send it to Translation Basket
5) Visit WPML>>Translation Management>>Translation Basket
6) Send it for translation, by choosing yourself as a translator
7) Visit WPML>>Translations queue and translate the Form by clicking the *Translate* button

If the bug remains, please share with us the WordPress debug.log(not WPML debug information) for collecting more details on this. Refer to the following pages for instructions

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

To enable the WordPress Debug log, open your wp-config.php file of site root and look for define('WP_DEBUG', false);. Change it to:

// Enable WP_DEBUG mode
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

// Disable display of errors and warnings
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

In this case, the errors will be saved to a debug.log log file inside the */wp-content/* directory. Please do the steps to reproduce the bug and check if you are getting any errors or warnings related to WPML in the log file.

If you can paste your debug.log to http://pastebin.com/index.php and provide me that link it would be great! (This is the cleanest way because sometimes the logs are long and create a complete mess of discussion).

Hi Bigul,

Yes, these are those steps and I'm still not seeing any forms in the translations queue.

I turned on debug logging but I don't see any WPML-related errors. I tried creating an account with pastebin but I never received an activation email. I attached an image of the log file -- it's very short.

Lastly, I attempted to reproduce the error on my local install of the site, and I'm not running into any issues. It's possible the error is related to the server where the site is hosted, WPEngine.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. That is strange. Please try the following steps after a site backup and make sure the issue exists or not.

1) Deactivate all the WPML plugins
2) Activate WPML Multilingual CMS first, then the add-ons one by one
3) Update the Gravity Forms in the original language
4) Visit WPML>>Translation Management Dashboard
5) Filter the posts by Gravity Forms
6) Choose the Forms you want to translate or update the existing translations
7) Send it to Translation Basket
8) Visit WPML>>Translation Management>>Translation Basket
9) Send it for translation, by choosing yourself as a translator
10) Visit WPML>>Translations queue and translate the Form by clicking the *Translate* button

Hello,

Thank you for the login information. We have released a new version of WPML(4.6.5) today. It has a few improvements. So please upgrade to the latest version of the plugin after a full site backup{mandatory}. Then create a new Gravity Form for testing and check whether the bug is existing or not.

If the problem remains, Please allow me to make a duplicator copy of your site using the Duplicator plugin(https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/) for debugging the issue on my local server. So we can troubleshoot the bug without affecting your live site.
