Tell us what you are trying to do?

I am unable to perform manual translation/page duplication. Even if I select WP Editor as the preference for a page or post under "Translate this Document:, it defaults to the WPML Translation Editor.

Most pages in the site are built using Elementor pages which have been duplicated due to differences in content. Previously when I clicked the translation icon from the page list, it would let me link to the other language page I have created, however now it opens the WPML editor as well.

The site is set to "Translate What You Choose".

Hello,

you can try to update the default language title and save it to start a new translation job or you can cancel any ongoing in progress translation jobs from WPML > Translation Management> Jobs, then when clicking on the icons it should open up WP editor.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Drazen

I can't cancel jobs it seems. I do so, whether attempting to use the trash can icon or bulk cancel, and the jobs just reappear in queue after showing as have been cancelled.

I am using manual string translation for Posts, but fully manual, duplication translation for Pages. I can no longer use the WP editor for manual translations. It reverts to the WPML string translation editor no matter what editor settings I have designated, and when it does so, it creates a translation job. I have zero need for creating translation jobs.

Per the attached screenshots. I see "In progress" for translation (even though the About page has been mapped to its Chinese equivalent). When I cancel it, it shows cancelled, but upon refreshing the jobs screen, it is in progress once again.

Hi,

You can try to edit the post then:
- switch back to WPML Translation Editor
- apply for the current post
- switch back to WordPress Editor
- apply for the current post
- click on the translation icon again
Please check this screenshot hidden link

If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
