Hi, I understand the issue. When testing on the sandbox site with the import template "wpmlsupport", maybe the Unique Identifier column doesn't match with the one in your import file and that causes the issue. I also create a test import process on the sandbox site: as you can see, it works properly to import translation product in the French language. Looking forward to your reply. |

Hi, It is expected. When you use an import plugin to import translation content on your site, you will need to use the WordPress editor to update the translation content manually. It is noted in the documentation Once you import content in multiple languages, you can only update the translations manually. This requires you to turn off the Advanced Translation Editor and edit the translations using the native WordPress editor. The content isn't translated in the Advanced Translation Editor so the translation memory doesn't recognize that content. Thanks. |

Hi, I m really confused. What does that mean? I have to translate all the 3000 products manually? Thats really not what we discussed. WPML Export and Import should import all the product translations in once. I dont need to translate all the products manually, thats the whole idea, to import the translations automatically over WP All Import and match the translation automaticall. |

That means you have to use the WordPress editor to UPDATE the translation products on your site, please see the attached screenshot. If you use the Advanced Translation Editor, the translation content isn't available there. Thanks. |

Forexample, for the category import we did it like this. In our case, does that mean the translations are there but they can not be seen in the translation editor? Do I have to update the translations or if I just import them and not updating it via editor, they still will show in the frontend correctly? They just not showing in the backend? Is that right? |

Just to remind we are using the plugin WP All Import and WPML All Import to import products and translation products on the sandbox site, not the plugin WPML Export & Import. does that mean the translations are there but they can not be seen in the translation editor? Yes, the translation products are there on the site, but the content is not available in the WPML Translation Editor. If I just import them and not updating it via editor, they still will show in the frontend correctly? Yes, correct. If you just import translation products, they will show in both admin area and frontend. But in case you want to edit a translation product and make some changes in the admin area, you have to use the WordPress editor as I mentioned above. I hope that makes sense. |

Yes, that makes sense! When I need to make an update for a certain product, I will make again an product import. Just for my understanding: Why we use for the Category Import "WPML Export and Import"? And for the Products "WP All Import" and "WPML All Import". Why we can not just use one plugin for all the imports? What is the difference? I will now again import, the products as you explained. So hopefully it works. When I tried it, the translation never showed... |

Meaning I will import again the three languages but with a updated version. that works? Yes, that will work. You can make updates in the import files and import them to the site in all languages. Why we use for the Category Import "WPML Export and Import"? Why we can not just use one plugin for all the imports? What is the difference? You can use only one plugin WPML All Import to import categories and translation categories as well. I already mentioned that in a previous reply. Please follow the documentation to import categories in multiple languages with WPML All Import The difference is: WPML All Import is a bridge plugin for WPML and WP All Import. WPML Export & Import will assist many import plugins to import content in multiple languages. The import process might be different between import plugins. How long are you still available? For checking in again? I'm working in the UTC+7 timezone (8-17h). Feel free to post your questions about the import products here. I will reply to the question as soon as possible. Thanks. |
