[Resolved] Completed translations in translation editor registered as completed in the Translations panel not d...
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client has completed translations for pages using the translation editor, and these are registered as completed in the Translations panel. However, the translations are not displaying on the frontend. The client recently switched from using Bakery builder to Elementor Pro and updated to the Hello Elementor child theme. Solution: If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you try the following steps: 1. Edit the page in the default language. 2. Add "V2" to the title and update the page. 3. Delete the "V2" from the title and update the page again. 4. Update the page's translation. After completing these steps, please check if the translated page is now visible on the frontend.
This solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Pages Dashboard, and on each page that is missing a translation, simply clicked the + button and then proceeded translating the content, mostly I did undo the automated translation, but on some pages, I used it. After saving each line if manually translating I clicked complete translation button located down and right, and that's it. There were instances where I couldn't save a translated line, and then I saved the translation memory in order to refresh the page, so I can keep saving the translated lines/paragraphs.
It's weird that almost every auto translation is subtracted, as not used, when I am sure that I did used those 2000 credits.
It's no matter that those credits are spent but am curious for future reference if this is an issue, and why the translated content, isn't being displayed, but rather I need to do the V2 steps on each page and re-save the translation where I need to re-translate paragraphs in order for them to be used.
It's alright I resolved the translation queue issue.
When you click the Undo button, it deletes the translation from the translation memory. If you click the save button for a segment and click Undo after that, the translation will appear in the editor while it's opened only. When updating the page, it will be deleted.
What I see here is it's a workflow issue. Please don't click the save button for the automatically translated segment if you want to undo the automatic translation.
Since my previous explanation wasn't very clear, let me explain it better.
I only use the undo button for the auto-translation and then proceed with manually translating by segment, and once done, I save/complete, and that's it.
When I use the auto-translate, I do not undo the translation. I just save the auto translated content.
Just to be clear, when I am translating manually and saving segments, I do not use the Undo button.
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on that page I retried several V2 attempts but there weren't any missing segments.
In any case, I have to go over all the pages now and I will report on any issues I encounter later today/tomorrow.
I did the V2 steps on all the pages, there were some pages that had missing segments and some that I needed to do completely over again.
That doesn't matter, and it can be considered as resolved.
However, the question is how to prevent this from happening again on other pages/posts?
Is translating directly from the Pages panel by clicking the + button to enter the advanced translator not the way to go?
Or should I use the Translations queue instead?
Thanks for your update. Translating the pages using the Pages admin screen using the + icon and translating the pages using WPML-> Translation Management are both okay to use.
I think the issue you faced is not related to the location but to the workflow. I don't think this issue will happen to the pages you fixed again, as they are saved correctly this time.
Please let me know if you need further assistance with this issue.
